Project Delivery Excellence

WSP is seeking a highly skilled Regional Project Delivery Director to lead our efforts in creating a best-in-class Project Delivery capability across Latin America and the Caribbean. This role will be responsible for planning and managing a change programme that will ensure the region is a visible and valued contributor to the global Project Delivery Initiative community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a shared approach to Project Delivery across the region
  • Lead a collaborative community of Project Delivery professionals to achieve success
  • Develop and manage the adoption of integrated tools and processes aligned with WSP's best practices
  • Engage with internal clients to ensure they understand the plan, status, and expected benefits
  • Position WSP as the employer of choice for Project Delivery professionals
  • Onboard, assess, coach, train, and mentor professionals to leverage talent
  • Reduce margin erosion and manage operational risks to deliver enhanced financial performance
  • Organize and participate in project reviews to ensure projects follow the Project Delivery Framework
  • Monitor and analyze project performance and support teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting on project performance and the status of the Project Delivery Initiative
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), trends, and gaps across the region to assist with program/process improvements

Requirements

  • University Degree in Engineering, Planning, or equivalent, with a track record of delivering complex projects
  • Impeccable knowledge of the latest Project Management approaches, ideally PMP certified
  • Fluent Spanish and English language skills, with Portuguese an advantage
  • Legal right to live and work in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Peru, or Mexico
  • Significant experience in delivering major projects in one of WSP's key sectors
  • Leadership skills to ensure all operations advance together
  • Experience in affecting organizational change within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with people from different disciplines
  • Strong strategic, conceptual, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
  • Negotiation skills within a context of political sensitivity and managing conflicting interests

Location

The position can be based in any of our offices in Mexico, West Indies, Panama, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile, or Argentina.
