Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR teams to offer clear and timely legal advice on employment law matters
  • Draft and negotiate various HR documents and manage employee litigation
  • Maintain relationships with external legal advisors and conduct research on relevant statutes
  • Assist in drafting internal governance documents

Requirements:

  • Law degree from a recognized university
  • 8-10 years of experience in employment law
  • Strong knowledge of the Canada Labor Code
  • Experience appearing before administrative tribunals is a plus
  • Member of a Canadian Bar association
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build credibility
  • Proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Bilingual in English and French
