Electrical & Controls Project Engineer/Technologist

Job Summary

This role involves designing, developing, and delivering high-quality electrical and control engineering projects that enhance plant productivity, reliability, and sustainability for our North American customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and estimates for electrical and control system upgrades.
  • Design industrial LV and MV electrical power systems, including equipment specifications, motor control and grounding systems, cable and raceway sizing and layouts, and electrical room design.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.
  • Complete electrical, control, and instrumentation system design, including P&ID drawings, control system and network architecture, and instrumentation systems.
  • Design control strategies to optimize performance and program and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or technology diploma in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in industrial automation engineering an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (typically 5-20%).
