About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team at ANDRITZ. As a key member of our Automation and Digitalization division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality electrical and control engineering projects that improve plant productivity, reliability, and sustainability for our North American customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and estimates for electrical and control system upgrades.
  • Design industrial LV and MV electrical power systems, including equipment specifications, motor control and grounding systems, cable and raceway sizing and layouts, and electrical room design.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.
  • Complete electrical, control and instrumentation system design including P&ID drawings, control system and network architecture, and instrumentation systems.
  • Design control strategies to optimize performance, and program and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or technology diploma in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in industrial automation engineering an asset.
  • Mining and/or chemical industries an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (typically 5-20%).
  • Consulting engineering experience.
  • Site audit, commissioning, construction, and start-up experience.
