We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at JLSQ Construction Services LTD. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to meet project requirements.
- Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, including trowels and floats.
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to secure concrete structures.
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect against damage.
- Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain project integrity.
As a Concrete Finisher, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in cold or refrigerated environments.
Requirements- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training and certifications are an asset.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality in your work.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. You will be required to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Language and Work SettingThis role requires fluency in English and the ability to work in a commercial and residential construction setting.
