About the Role

Paddy's Oneil's is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as soups, salads, and sandwiches.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized waste disposal area.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives, and perform routine maintenance on kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and package take-out food for customers.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 32.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
