Role Summary
The primary goal of this position is to assist the supplier risk management team in effectively monitoring, analyzing, and communicating risk levels within our supplier network. The Analyst will collaborate closely with team members to optimize the use of databases essential for the supplier risk evaluation process. A significant aspect of this role involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of our supplier ecosystem, ultimately evolving into a proficient risk analyst capable of conducting independent supplier risk assessments.
The Analyst will uphold the integrity of supplier risk management platforms and databases, utilizing tools and reporting structures established by senior management. This role serves as the initial point of contact for all direct suppliers, coordinating financial reviews with the risk management team. With appropriate guidance and support, the Analyst will execute and convey findings from supplier risk evaluations, reporting directly to the Regional Manager of Supplier Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities- Engage and coordinate with suppliers to arrange reviews with the risk management team;
- Conduct reviews as assigned, with necessary training and mentorship;
- Document completed reviews in accordance with established global standards;
- Exemplify professional conduct and contribute positively to departmental objectives;
- Facilitate collaboration across multiple regions, customers, and suppliers;
- Manage large datasets, ensuring data integrity through cleansing, maintenance, and analysis;
- Aggregate regional risk management data to develop and maintain dashboard tools for informed decision-making;
- Support routine reporting processes to enhance visibility of vendor risk management performance;
- Recommend technology-based solutions to streamline workflows and automate manual processes;
- Adapt existing methods to propose alternative solutions for moderately complex challenges;
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and maintain confidentiality;
- Commit to ongoing professional development through relevant educational activities;
- Provide consistent support to stakeholders and suppliers, fostering strong working relationships;
- Assist with various ad-hoc and cross-functional vendor risk management projects as needed.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of three years of relevant experience;
- Experience in manufacturing processes such as quality, logistics, and tooling is advantageous;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential;
- Knowledge of additional languages such as German, Spanish, or Chinese is a plus;
- Excellent analytical skills for assessing risks based on provided information;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy with suppliers in challenging situations;
- Effectively collaborate with all company groups in a timely manner;
- Demonstrate effectiveness in both independent and team-oriented work;
- Willingness to embrace changes to enhance departmental functions.
