Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Environment Manager to join our team at RBC. As a key member of our Technology and Operations platform, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the development and test environments from an infrastructure and application perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain development and test environments to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Analyze and troubleshoot incidents and technical issues to resolve problems quickly
  • Deploy updates and promote software packages to non-production environments to ensure smooth operations
  • Coordinate system upgrades, maintenance, and release activities across environments to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with delivery and production support teams to ensure consistency between non-production and production environments
  • Manage data feeds and ensure batch jobs run within expected timings to optimize performance
  • Produce, update, and review Run Books and Implementation Plans to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Provide expertise around InfoSec/IT Security best practices and change management policies to ensure a secure environment
  • Work to address security vulnerabilities and maintain proper server hygiene to prevent security breaches
  • Write scripts to improve efficiency and automation to streamline processes
Requirements
  • 5+ years of IT support experience with a strong proficiency in Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL, and PowerShell
  • Experience diagnosing and debugging performance and security issues to resolve problems quickly
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and dev ops best practices to ensure efficient operations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with development and support teams to achieve common goals
  • Demonstrated independent leadership and analytical skills to make informed decisions
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders
