Job Title: Welder Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder Assistant to join our team at The Steel Guys Fabricating Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will assist our experienced welders in preparing and processing metal products for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, and other materials from metal surfaces.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to ensure optimal cleanliness.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators in their tasks.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets, parts, and scrap materials for efficient processing.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from products using hand tools.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles as needed.
  • Polish metal products to a high shine using specialized techniques.
  • Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.

  • Physically demanding role requiring manual labor and attention to detail.
