Job Overview: Environmental Project Coordinator
At EnviroEmplois, we are in search of an Environmental Project Coordinator to enhance our diverse team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, organization, and execution of various environmental initiatives, including ecological assessments, field investigations, permit submissions, and ongoing environmental monitoring.
This position offers flexibility, with the possibility of working remotely depending on the candidate's experience and self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ecological impact evaluations and associated research within a collaborative team environment.
- Organize field investigations or actively engage in them.
- Handle environmental permit submissions and necessary authorization documentation.
- Draft proposals for services offered.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders.
- Lead the creation of inventory reports, evaluations, and project documentation.
- Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and timelines while managing administrative tasks.
- Contribute to the development of innovative tools and services.
- Provide technical and regulatory guidance across various projects.
- Collaborate with all departments within the organization to achieve project goals.
- Advocate for and implement workplace health and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field of environmental management.
- At least 4 years of pertinent experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of provincial and federal environmental legislation.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
- A collaborative team member with a proactive approach and independence.
