About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team at 1527806 Ontario Inc. as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work on machinery, making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up machines and equipment, and ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Quality Control: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, and perform quality control checks to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Communication: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, and communicate with tradespersons to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, organized, reliability, and a team player.
