Key Responsibilities

Engage with global clients, both internal and external, and lead technical discussions during client meetings.

  1. Develop specific loss profiles for the professional services sector, utilizing our extensive historical loss data.
  2. Oversee the evaluation and analysis of individual firm and industry-wide assumptions for loss profile determination.
  3. Conduct Monte Carlo simulations for frequency and severity to establish actuarial funding and pricing requirements.
  4. Assist brokers in forecasting expected premiums, reviewing program structures and proposed reinsurance strategies.
  5. Execute simulation models to derive stochastic reserving estimates based on various assumptions.
  6. Prepare and manage premium funding and reserving reports for client captives.
  7. Enhance and refine financial modeling tools, including dynamic financial analysis and capital modeling.
  8. Provide mentorship and guidance to analysts, ensuring quality through peer reviews.
Qualifications for Success
  1. 3-7 years of experience in a Property & Casualty actuarial role.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team.
  3. Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  4. Prior management experience is advantageous.
  5. Familiarity with VBA, R, and/or @Risk is a plus.
  6. Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field.
  7. Successful completion of CAS Exams is mandatory (FCAS or ACAS).
  8. Bilingual in French and English is preferred due to frequent interactions with clients and partners across Canada.
