We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Social Research Assistant to join our team at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society. As a key member of our research team, you will play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing data to inform our programs and services.
Key Responsibilities- Data Collection and Tracking: Assist in collecting and tracking data from monitored use of services, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, consolidate, cross-tabulate, and format data to produce high-quality reports and research papers.
- Research and Writing: Conduct research, prepare research papers for publication and presentation, and contribute to the development of research proposals.
- Administrative Support: Coordinate administrative services, including attending educational conferences and workshops, to stay up-to-date on best practices in social research.
- Education: A degree in a social science or related field, with a focus on research methods and data analysis.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a research or data analysis role, preferably in a social services or non-profit organization.
- Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
