We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Lakeridge Health Port Perry.
About the RoleThis is a regular part-time position working 12-hour shifts, days, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate will provide safe, competent care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Coronary Care I course (Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation) or equivalent experience.
- Recent experience in general medicine and surgical care nursing.
- Proven cardiac rhythm and patient assessment skills.
- Critical Care Certificate course or equivalent experience preferred.
