Position Overview

Reporting to the Section Head - Infrastructure and Core Software, the incumbent will be tasked with ensuring the availability and reliability of SAP systems while collaborating with fellow support team members to address queries and incidents.

This role also encompasses the management of issues, modifications, or enhancements related to the SAP solution, acting as a subject matter expert within the section.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Infrastructure/SAP team
  • Monitor and ensure optimal performance and capacity of SAP environments
  • Diagnose and resolve SAP-related issues and challenges
  • Assist in troubleshooting operating system-related problems
  • Contribute to the optimization of SAP systems
  • Provide support to functional teams and SAP developers
  • Serve as a technical resource for non-SAP teams in establishing connections with SAP systems
  • Stay informed on advancements in the field of expertise
  • Act as the technical liaison for Partner Managed Cloud (PMC)
  • Conduct audits and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and contribute to various documentation and reporting
  • Participate in team meetings and committees addressing team or section issues
  • Engage in process enhancement initiatives while maintaining current documentation
  • Contribute to the strategic intelligence of the section (e.g., suggesting improvements and new methodologies)
  • Participate in projects or activities requiring specialized knowledge
  • Perform additional related duties as required

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is required, along with:

  • Two (2) years of experience in the installation and configuration of SAP systems
  • Experience with SAP HANA

Alternatively, candidates may hold a College Diploma with a focus on computer science or a related field, or an Attestation of Studies recognized by the relevant authority, combined with:

  • Four (4) years of relevant experience, including Windows system administration
  • Two (2) years of experience in SAP system installation and configuration
  • Experience with SAP HANA

Additional Considerations:

Candidates will undergo a security clearance process. For diplomas obtained outside of Canada, a study equivalency assessment from the Ministry of Immigration, Francisation and Integration is required. The official document must be presented upon request.
