Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Associate to join our team at Otter Co-op's Mt. Lehman Food Store. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, efficiently stocking and merchandising produce, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a prompt and polite manner
- Stock, rotate, and display produce in a neat and appealing manner, ensuring quality and freshness
- Maintain superior housekeeping standards, cleaning racks, tables, back room, and cooler
- Assist with receiving, ordering, and processing claims or credits
- Contribute to a SAFE working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous produce experience is an asset, but not required
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with the public
- Excellent communication, people, and customer service skills
- Motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs regularly
- Willingness and availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
