About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team at Smith + Andersen. As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing electrical building systems, preparing drawings and specifications, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design electrical building systems in accordance with office standards and applicable codes
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports necessary for project delivery
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure continuity and coordination of electrical systems
  • Develop lighting layouts and coordinate with other disciplines
  • Perform electrical load calculations and respond to internal and external communication regarding project status
Requirements
  • Two or more years of direct industry experience in electrical building services
  • Diploma or degree from an electrical building services or engineering program
  • Strong desire for advancement and professional development
  • Ability to work in complex environments with project deadlines
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD MEP
