Digital Transformation Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Transformation Director to join our team at Grand River Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic planning and implementation of technology and cybersecurity initiatives that support our hospital's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning
- Design and implement a technology and cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the hospital's vision and goals.
- Develop and execute plans to enhance patient care and operational efficiency through the effective use of technology.
- Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity protocols and strategies to protect patient data and hospital systems.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage the development and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
- Oversee network security, data storage, and system performance.
- Supervise the development, deployment, and maintenance of clinical and administrative applications.
- Ensure applications meet the needs of healthcare providers and administrative staff.
- Lead the helpdesk and desktop support teams to provide timely technical assistance.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (OR EQUIVALENT combination of education and experience).
- ITI, CISSP, CISM, PMP, Change Management, Cloud certifications, AI qualifications all considered an asset.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare applications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with clinical and corporate applications in a hospital setting.
- Extensive experience in IT management and cybersecurity, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse technology teams.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure management.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Strong conflict resolution, service, and contract management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
