Civil Engineering Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team at HC Matcon Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, participating in field surveys, inspections, and technical investigations, and supervising or conducting field surveys, inspections, and testing of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2 years of experience in civil engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
