Senior Associate, Risk Analytics

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Associate in Risk Analytics to join our dynamic team. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager to oversee and report on market and credit risk at Ontario Teachers'. Your key responsibilities will encompass conducting risk attribution assessments, engaging in projects aimed at enhancing the fund's risk management systems, and working alongside various teams to refine risk reporting methodologies.

Collaboration and Teamwork

You will engage with teams across Investment, Risk, Finance, and Enterprise Operations, as well as with external partners. Your expertise and input will be instrumental in advancing the standards of risk management at Ontario Teachers'.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily evaluations and oversight of the fund's risk indicators
  • Develop and improve reporting tools for comprehensive risk analysis
  • Detect and address challenges related to risk reporting
  • Work with stakeholders to establish business requirements
  • Conduct testing to verify that system modifications align with business needs
  • Document internal control procedures and provide training sessions
  • Share insights on new financial products and reporting inquiries

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in risk management
  • Strong understanding of risk measurement and derivatives pricing
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and Python
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities
  • Experience with change management and FIS Adaptiv is a plus
  • Relevant Master's degree and CFA or FRM designation are advantageous
