Role Overview

The primary goal of this position is to assist the supplier risk management team in effectively monitoring, analyzing, and communicating risk levels within our supplier network to ensure a seamless supply chain for our operations. The Analyst will collaborate closely with other members of the vendor risk management team to optimize the use of databases involved in the supplier risk evaluation process. A key objective for this role is to develop a comprehensive understanding of our supplier network as it pertains to vendor risk management, with the aim of evolving into a proficient risk analyst capable of conducting independent supplier risk assessments.

In general, the Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity of supplier risk platforms, databases, and systems, utilizing tools and reporting structures established by the management team. The Analyst serves as the primary contact for all direct suppliers in scheduling financial evaluations with the vendor risk management team. With appropriate guidance and support, the Analyst will execute and communicate supplier risk assessments, reporting directly to the Regional Manager of Vendor Risk Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engages and coordinates directly with suppliers to arrange evaluations with the vendor risk management team;
  • Conducts assessments as assigned, with necessary training and mentorship;
  • Documents completed assessments in alignment with established global processes and standards;
  • Exemplifies professional conduct and approach, aligning with departmental objectives;
  • Facilitates collaboration across multiple regions, customers, and suppliers;
  • Manages large, diverse datasets, supporting primary data management, including data cleansing, maintenance, and analysis, while developing analytical solutions;
  • Collects, maintains, and aggregates regional risk management data to create and sustain dashboard tools that inform critical business decisions;
  • Supports routine reporting processes to enhance visibility of vendor risk management performance and resource planning for management;
  • Explores and recommends technology-based solutions to create scalable workflows and automate manual processes where feasible;
  • Adapts existing methods to propose and implement alternative solutions to moderately complex challenges, executing initiatives for process optimization and organizational efficiency;
  • Ensures compliance with departmental operational references and all company policies while maintaining confidentiality;
  • Commits to ongoing professional development through relevant continuing education activities;
  • Provides consistent support to stakeholders and suppliers, fostering positive working relationships;
  • Assists with various ad-hoc and cross-functional vendor risk management projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Background in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of three years of experience
  • Training or experience in key manufacturing elements such as quality, logistics, trade, tooling, and processes is an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English are required
  • Additional language skills such as German, Spanish, or Chinese are an asset
  • Strong analytical skills in evaluating risks based on provided information
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to maintain professionalism with suppliers in challenging situations
  • Effectiveness in collaborating with all company groups in a timely manner
  • Willingness to support necessary changes to develop the department into a world-class function
