Your role and contributions:
- Ensure adherence to Bombardier's General Work Requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment by overseeing a safety/security program, which encompasses the operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, 5S, general housekeeping, and lean manufacturing practices. Conduct regular safety/security audits and address any discrepancies.
- Supervise assigned employees and areas, including timecard and vacation approvals, performance reviews, professional development opportunities, personnel decisions, and employee scheduling.
- Coordinate unscheduled aircraft maintenance and manage work performed outside of the Repair Station's fixed location.
- Oversee maintenance performance to ensure compliance with the Repair Station/Quality Manual, Site Operating Procedures, and FARs.
- Manage resources effectively to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.
- Submit requests for engineering support as needed to facilitate operations across all product lines.
- Act on behalf of the Customer Project Manager during their absence, if required.
- Support UMT by coordinating tooling and parts, scheduling personnel, and managing aircraft return-to-service processes.
- Administer team-related policies and procedures.
- Manage the timekeeping system to ensure accurate employee hours and track attendance.
- Address technical shop floor issues, including engineering and specialized tooling requirements.
- Facilitate DMM meetings with all departments and shops.
- Monitor housing and facilities for compliance with 14 CFR and report any deficiencies.
- Identify and communicate best practices while championing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage with the BAS Network Database and transfer SAP Work Orders into the database.
- Participate in BAS Network Reporting (Shop Floor Efficiency).
Qualifications for success:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft heavy/line maintenance.
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in Aircraft Maintenance.
- Possession of an A&P Certificate or equivalent certification under FAR Part 65.
- Familiarity with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, including Parts 91, 121, 135, and 145.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for jet aircraft.
- Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety regulations as they pertain to workplace safety and aircraft maintenance operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with employees, customers, and management.
- Customer service skills to adapt communication and presentation to resolve issues with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities to develop personnel and build a cohesive team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Training skills necessary to provide effective employee training.
- Planning and organizational skills to prioritize and coordinate workloads in a multi-project environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and project management.
