About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at PETRO-CANADA(A&W). As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fast food restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting the required standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that their experience is positive and memorable.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and customer feedback, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a fast-paced food service environment
  • Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession, restaurant
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, physically demanding environment
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player
