We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our team at SIENNA-BALTIC LAKEVIEW INC. As a Resident Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as provide personal care such as toileting and incontinence care.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by the resident's physician, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve meals to residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including laundry and housekeeping duties.
- Transportation: Transport residents to and from activities, appointments, and other destinations, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and transferring residents.
