We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generation Support Manager to join our team at Northwest Territories Power Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Generation Team for the Deh Cho/Sahtu region.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and the public by reporting any safety incidents and providing orientations to visitors.
- Supervise subordinate staff, including hiring, assigning work, conducting performance appraisals, and recommending terminations.
- Provide technical advice to the Projects and Engineering Division and Finance Division on operations and maintenance budget administration.
- Manage assigned capital projects, including coordination with the division asset manager and the Finance Division.
- High School Diploma or GED and three years of related experience, including one year of management experience.
- Valid NWT Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent.
- Experience in administrative and financial planning procedures.
- Extensive experience in power production and distribution.
- Good planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
- Good analytical and diagnostic skills with problem-solving competence.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
