About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, well-being, and happiness of our furry friends and their owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Well-being
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, including proper feeding, care, and handling.
    • Maintain a clean and safe store environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and offering recommendations on pet care and products.
    • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Product Knowledge
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest pet care products and services, including nutrition, health, and wellness.
    • Effectively communicate product information to customers, making informed recommendations.
  • Teamwork
    • Collaborate with store team members to achieve sales goals, promote products, and maintain a positive store environment.
    • Support store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
