Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Road Rex Trucking. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Mountain Driving: Demonstrate expertise in driving on mountainous terrain, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Load and Unload: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to weight and balance requirements.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain necessary permits and documents for international routes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Payment and Record-Keeping: Process payments for goods and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Cargo Handling: Transport and handle hazardous materials, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 32 to 40 hours per week.
