Senior Manager, Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance team at HOOPP. As a key member of our Project Management Office and Governance team, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining our IT Risk Management landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement our IT Risk Management program, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development and maintenance of technology-related policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Provide strategic and technical support to IT delivery teams, ensuring effective management of technology risk and maximizing value for HOOPP.
- Oversee the identification and documentation of key processes and controls, including application controls and IT General Controls.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring an in-depth understanding of key business and IT processes.
- Lead the team in measuring and reporting on our IT Risk profile to various stakeholders.
- Assist IT in managing and evaluating upcoming projects requested by business partners.
- Lead the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other operational risk metrics for the IT division.
- Organize and facilitate workshops and education sessions with IT delivery teams.
- Identify current and emerging risks and develop risk management strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Provide oversight on the management of remediation plans resulting from deficiencies.
- Perform quality reviews on the work performed by IT GRC Analysts/testers.
- Assist in the development and update of our IT Risk Management framework.
- Identify and execute automation of risk and governance activities within HOOPP.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in IT Governance, IT Risk & Compliance, IT Audit, or related fields.
- Expert knowledge of technology and risk management frameworks.
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience.
- Experience in developing and/or reviewing IT governance documents.
- Professional designations such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, or CISSP are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Capital and Private Markets, Investments, and related risk management functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in the Financial Services or pension industries is an asset.
- Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure and databases is preferred.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience with Service Now GRC platform is preferred.
- Proven ability to educate and share knowledge effectively with diverse teams.
