Join Macdonald Mighty Movers as a Moving Truck Driver and be part of a dynamic team that delivers exceptional service to our customers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and Execute Routes: Use computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to optimize routes and minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in driving in mountainous terrain.
- Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
- Payment and Documentation: Process payments and maintain accurate documentation, including driver logs and inspection reports.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates as needed.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 3 or D driver's license.
- Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with accident reports, bills of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
