We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Pioneer Ridge, a leading long-term care facility in Thunder Bay. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional resident care, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality resident care, adhering to the Standards of Nursing Practice and long-term care legislation.
- Assume the team leader role, overseeing resident care, staff, and environment within the RPN scope of practice.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring residents' physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and social needs are met.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote resident participation and family support in activities of daily living.
- Conduct thorough assessments, complete required documentation, and maintain accurate records.
- Current unrestricted certificate of competence as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Knowledge of long-term care legislation, including the Long Term Care Home Act and the Residents Bill of Rights.
- Experience in long-term care or gerontology, with a strong understanding of resident-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
