MTY Food Group is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Senior Director of Tax Treasury and Risk Management's team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with Canadian tax laws and regulations.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and resourceful Tax Manager to support our global operations. Your primary objectives will be to:

  • Ensure the Company meets its Canadian compliance obligations;
  • Support quarterly public reporting and tax accounting;
  • Assist with tax considerations of ongoing M&A strategy;
  • Support tax planning initiatives to improve the Company's effective tax rate and reduce cash taxes paid.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting with a Master's in taxation;
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA);
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in tax;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Canadian Income Tax Manager;
  • Experience in International transactions and acquisitions;
  • Familiarity with IFRS;
  • Strong analytical and business skills;
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change;
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills;
  • Bilingual with a stronger emphasis on English.
