About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at AP Group Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings, such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Requirements
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Strong client focus, reliability, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
  • Permanent employment, with a 30-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
