Job Title: Psychiatric Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to patients, including assistance with daily living activities, therapeutic interventions, and recreational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assist patients with personal care, comfort, and support in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health care.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
