Join Our Team as a Data Protection Security Engineer

We're building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world, and we're looking for a skilled Data Protection Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Data Protection Services (DPS) team, you'll work with business partners, vendors, consumers, QA, and Application Operation (AO) partners to provide data protection/discovery related services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with vendors and internal partners to build, configure, and deploy DPS services from DEV, UAT to PROD.
  • Deliver data protection and data discovery services per project plan or business requests.
  • Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities: develop specifications, code, test, debug, document, and automate via DevOps CI/CD.
  • Conduct code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements, and CIBC standards.
  • Provide system integration testing support, user acceptance testing support, and production support.
  • Lead troubleshooting sessions on complex problems identified during project/in production.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Linux OS and shell scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of Python language (2+ years).
  • Hands-on experience of DevOps: Github/Git Actions, CI/CD, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Restful API and databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • ServiceNow, Databricks, Azure networking, load balancers, LDAP/Active Directory, Authentication/Authorization, SSO, Digital certificates.
  • Knowledge of Docker (Software), Docker Container, Linux, Microsoft Azure, Operating Systems Security, Oracle, and Python (Programming Language).
