We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced caretaker to join our team at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Separate School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for the school and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train caretakers to ensure the school is maintained to a high standard
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs
  • Operate and maintain ground maintenance equipment
  • Ensure the school is clean and tidy, including emptying trash and recycling
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure the school is well-maintained

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as a caretaker or in a related field
  • 5th Class Power Engineer's Certificate of Competency or Building Operator B Certificate of Competency
  • Occupational Health & Safety Training
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in English
  • Mechanical aptitude and skills
