Role Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to manage a vital team responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of server updates and cloud-native implementations within our hybrid cloud framework. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the security, reliability, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure while fostering innovation through the integration of cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct a team of engineers tasked with server updates across diverse environments including physical, virtual, and cloud. Formulate and implement a cloud-native deployment strategy to ensure secure and efficient application delivery across various cloud platforms. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in cloud technologies and best practices for managing hybrid cloud environments. Create and execute a thorough strategy for vulnerability management and prompt patch deployment to mitigate security threats. Collaborate with security, development, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of updates and cloud-native deployments into existing processes. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for server updates and cloud-native deployment procedures. Utilize automation tools and scripting to enhance the efficiency of update and deployment processes. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to update success rates, security posture, and cloud-native deployments. Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement and implement process enhancements. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork within the group.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of experience in IT operations, emphasizing server management and updates. Demonstrated experience in overseeing update processes across hybrid cloud environments (physical, virtual, and cloud). Strong grasp of cloud computing principles and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with cloud-native development practices (e.g., containers, Kubernetes). Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet). Experience with vulnerability assessment and update management tools. Strong leadership and communication abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding a team. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a cross-functional team. A results-driven approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
