Key Responsibilities

We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned leader to supervise a vital team dedicated to overseeing the complete lifecycle of server updates and cloud-native implementations within our hybrid cloud framework. Your role will be crucial in guaranteeing the security, reliability, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure while fostering innovation through the integration of cloud-native technologies.

Specific Duties Include:

Direct a team of engineers tasked with server updates across diverse environments, including physical, virtual, and cloud. Formulate and implement a cloud-native deployment strategy, ensuring secure and efficient application delivery across various cloud platforms. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in cloud technologies and best practices for managing hybrid cloud systems. Create and execute a thorough strategy for vulnerability management and prompt patch deployment to mitigate security threats. Collaborate with security, development, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of updates and cloud-native deployments into existing processes. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for update and cloud-native deployment procedures. Utilize automation tools and scripting to enhance the efficiency of update and deployment workflows. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to update success rates, security posture, and cloud-native deployments. Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement and implement process enhancements. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork within the group.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of experience in IT operations, emphasizing server management and updates. Demonstrated experience in overseeing update processes across hybrid cloud environments (physical, virtual, and cloud). Strong grasp of cloud computing principles and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with cloud-native development practices (e.g., containers, Kubernetes). Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet). Experience with vulnerability scanning and update management tools. Strong leadership and communication capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide a team. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team. A results-driven approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
