Job Summary

TOP PLUS EMPLOYMENT INC is seeking a skilled Welder - MIG Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using MIG welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
  • Examine Welds: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and safety.
  • Operate Welding Machines: Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Bond Metal: Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, team player, punctuality, and hardworking.
Working Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: Dusty and hot.
  • Work Setting: Industrial.
Equipment and Machinery Experience
  • Arc Welding Machine: Experience with arc welding machines.
  • Gas Welding Machine: Experience with gas welding machines.
