Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welder Job Description

At ABC FIRE DOOR LTD, we are seeking a skilled Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welder to join our team. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using MIG welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic MIG welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Fabricate and repair metal parts and products using MIG welding equipment.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in MIG welding.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality welds.
