Job Title: Hotel Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Assistant Manager to join our team at Podollan Grande Prairie Inn & Spa Inc.

Job Summary:

The Hotel Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Hotel Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, conducting performance reviews, negotiating with clients, and preparing budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Hotel Manager in developing and implementing policies and procedures for daily operations
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities and services
  • Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
  • Implement marketing activities to increase hotel occupancy and revenue
  • Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities to ensure the hotel's facilities are well-maintained
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service
  • Develop and implement business plans to increase hotel revenue and profitability
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties
  • Manage events and conferences, including coordinating logistics and ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made
  • Organize and maintain inventory of hotel supplies and equipment
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a hotel management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
