Registration Coordinator

**Job Summary**
The Registration Clerk will play a vital role in the operations of Seven Oaks General Hospital, ensuring seamless patient registration and admission processes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Process patient registrations and admissions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of records.
- Manage and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and filing.
**Requirements:**
- One-year direct receptionist experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with various types of filing systems.
- Grade 12 education.
- Medical Terminology Certificate.
- Successful completion of a recognized program for Medical Administrative Assistant/Health Care Access Services, Unit Clerk, or the first year of a recognized Health Information Management Professional.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Knowledge of Windows, e-mail, and database applications.
- Ability to operate equipment, including Fax Machine, printers, embosser, imprinter, etc.
- Keyboarding speed – minimum 40 wpm.
- Familiarity with statistics and general accounting.
- Accuracy and thoroughness.
- Demonstrates effective and courteous communication skills in the English Language.
- Effective interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of employees, patients, and the general public.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility and independence in planning work.
- Ability to keep current with technology and to problem-solve equipment breakdown and reporting.
