Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present menu items in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in the preparation of mise en place, including food, garnishes, sauces, and other products as required.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food production, including receiving and storing ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Participate in monthly culinary meetings and contribute to the development of new menu items and culinary initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, including guests, ownership, and other operational departments.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive culinary experience, with a focus on menu item production and kitchen management.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a culinary education or certification a plus.
- RED SEAL certification through ITA, current enrollment in the program, or equivalent a plus.
- Level 1 FoodSafe, Safe Food Handling, or Food Handler Certificate; MSDS; WHMIS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on improving culinary skills and knowledge.
