About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at River Rock Casino Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for the execution of menu item production, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive and welcoming work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present menu items in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to standardized recipes and quality standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of mise en place, including food, garnishes, sauces, and other products as required.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food production, including receiving and storing ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Participate in monthly culinary meetings and contribute to the development of new menu items and culinary initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, including guests, ownership, and other operational departments.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive culinary experience, with a focus on menu item production and kitchen management.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a culinary education or certification a plus.
  • RED SEAL certification through ITA, current enrollment in the program, or equivalent a plus.
  • Level 1 FoodSafe, Safe Food Handling, or Food Handler Certificate; MSDS; WHMIS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on improving culinary skills and knowledge.
