Position Overview

We are in search of a proactive and skilled IT Contract Management Specialist to oversee program contracts for a multifaceted technology initiative involving various vendors. This role entails ensuring compliance with approved terms and conditions, scope of work, Service Level Agreements, deadlines, deliverables, and critical milestones to guarantee the effective execution of contracts.

Additionally, this position requires expertise in project risk management to identify, assess, and address any risks or issues that may arise throughout the program's lifecycle, ensuring that workstreams remain aligned with their objectives. The specialist will support the Project Manager and Leadership team in the planning process to accurately evaluate potential risks and implement control measures. Proactive risk mitigation is crucial to prevent risks from escalating into issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all program contracts, ensuring adherence to all details, and identifying any potential breaches.
  • Generate periodic reports on contract compliance and ensure they are effectively communicated and updated.
  • Thoroughly analyze contracts to develop and implement effective contract and claim management strategies.
  • Monitor various program workstream scopes and deliverables to meet contractual obligations, including tracking project schedules.
  • Ensure timely issuance of contractual notifications.
  • Collaborate with program vendor partners on Change Orders related to scope, schedule, and resources, in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Work with Program Leadership and Administrative teams to maintain organized and accessible correspondence.
  • Develop and implement program-specific processes for contract and claim management.
  • Monitor and report potential contract violations to the Program Leadership team, managing all documentation for claims and counterclaims.
  • Understand program and workstream risks, help identify new risks, and track contingencies in bi-weekly/monthly reports.
  • Manage vendor partner requests for variations/change orders/extensions, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Provide strategic advice on issues, risks, and contractual activities, aligning with business objectives.
  • Report on contract management and claims activities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Anticipate events and risks related to contract management, proposing counterstrategies and commercial solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Program Leadership Team to identify and mitigate risks, maximizing claim opportunities.
  • Deliver clear and comprehensive contractual and commercial analyses of program workstreams/projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in technology contract management and compliance.
  • Experience in monitoring contracts within complex project environments.
  • Relevant certification or training in contract management.
  • Familiarity with contract management software.
  • Experience in energy utilities sector projects is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of risk management standards related to contract management.
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities replacement projects is a plus.
  • Audit certifications and experience are beneficial.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving savings and favorable client references.
