Lead Methods Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of both salaried and unionized Methods personnel dedicated to supporting the production floor.
- Ensure the execution of Functional Test Procedural instructions to production, with the goal of guaranteeing comprehensive system testing.
- Incorporate manufacturing needs and objectives by utilizing an effective First Article Inspection process to confirm that all design changes in production align with manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with the Change Management team, providing a detailed project timeline, resource allocation, and defining tooling/processes to facilitate a robust change implementation process within the manufacturing setting.
- Guide, mentor, and evaluate team members.
- Ensure all team members comprehend their roles and contributions towards achieving the Operations Unit objectives.
- Engage in Achieving Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Employ BOE tools to guarantee best practices in all deliverables and to identify improvement opportunities, including those arising from the establishment of new multi-functional teams.
- Ensure the team is fully integrated into the Global Aircraft platform, fostering a cohesive one-team approach.
- Confirm that the appropriate resources are available to meet anticipated workload demands regarding quality, cost, and schedule.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possesses a post-secondary degree and/or a minimum of five (5) years of experience within Bombardier Aerospace in Engineering, Methods, or Quality environments; a technical background is highly preferred.
- Demonstrates experience in supervising a team, with preference given to candidates who have managed technical teams or supervised unionized staff, as well as those with cross-functional experience.
- Holds in-depth technical knowledge of the Bombardier Manufacturing System, Bombardier Engineering System, and Aircraft and Aircraft Systems; MRB experience is advantageous.
- Exhibits a high-level customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Maintains a positive approach to challenges, setting a standard for the organization.
- Capable of working independently with a proactive, results-driven, and innovative mindset aimed at continuous business improvement, demonstrating ethics, sound judgment, and professionalism.
- Possesses strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
