Plant Operations Director

Job Overview:
Agropur is seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to oversee the daily operations of our Victoria plant. As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, motivating teams to work better and smarter, and ensuring the productivity and efficiency of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, food safety, health and safety, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives.
- Develop and implement operational and capital budgets, and direct the development and implementation of key projects at the location.
- Direct, develop, and implement plans for the efficient use of materials, machines, and employees, and ensure the direct training and development of salaried and hourly personnel to enhance plant performance.
- Liaise with government and regulatory agencies, and maintain good communication and relationships between management, employees, and union representatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in food science (dairy), engineering, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum of 10 years as a Production Manager/Production Director in a similar/size plant in the food industry.
- Solid track record of successful transformation projects (H&S, Quality, Innovation, Productivity, etc.).
- Expertise in continuous improvement and knowledge of systematic problem-solving processes (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership and planning skills, and a proven track record in improving cost base and plant performance.
