About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to join our team as a Plant Manager at our Victoria plant. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the productivity and efficiency of the Victoria plant, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement operational and capital budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.
- Lead the development and implementation of key projects, including new product and equipment implementation.
- Direct, develop, and implement training and development programs for salaried and hourly personnel.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain good relationships with government agencies.
- Oversee the security and safety of the plant's premises, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in food science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Production Manager/Production Director in a similar plant in the food industry.
- Solid track record of successful transformation projects, including H&S, Quality, Innovation, and Productivity.
- Expertise in continuous improvement and knowledge of systematic problem-solving processes, such as Six Sigma and Lean.
- Demonstrated leadership and planning skills, with a proven track record of improving cost base and plant performance.
- Aptitude/experience in the financial measurement of plant performance.
