BC Housing is seeking a Corporate Governance Director to contribute to our mission of providing safe and affordable housing for British Columbians. Reporting to the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, this role will be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to establish and implement effective governance practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of corporate governance principles and best practices. They will leverage their analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies that enhance organizational transparency, accountability, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and board members to develop and implement robust governance policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance on corporate governance matters to various departments and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular reviews of existing governance practices and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in corporate governance.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on governance-related topics for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or Political Science.
  • Significant experience in corporate governance within a similar organization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate governance principles and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
