Role Overview
We are in search of a Blockchain Protocol Operations Specialist to enhance our operational capabilities. This role requires a unique combination of project management expertise and technical acumen to assist the DevOps team in launching new blockchain networks and keeping abreast of software updates and critical blockchain modifications.
The protocol knowledge you will cultivate will support various internal teams, including DevOps, Sales, and Customer Success. As a rapidly expanding startup, adaptability to diverse work conditions is essential. You will collaborate with dynamic blockchain development teams globally, engaging in a variety of projects and cross-departmental functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate project management skills with technical expertise to oversee the onboarding of new blockchain networks and their ongoing maintenance.
- Acquire a foundational understanding of all supported protocols while developing in-depth knowledge of select protocols (e.g., Polkadot, NEAR).
- Maintain updated protocol information and monitor current and upcoming events, including tracking upgrades, governance proposals, hard forks, and various communication channels to ensure timely updates for our clients and internal teams regarding critical protocol changes.
- Ensure that technical solutions align with project objectives and requirements.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders.
- Oversee the integration of maintenance systems and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
- Analytical problem-solving abilities to identify and address process challenges.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements, priorities, and challenges.
- Personable demeanor with a high emotional intelligence, comfortable communicating across teams and platforms regularly.
- Prior experience in the crypto/blockchain sector is advantageous, or a strong curiosity about the space and readiness to immerse yourself in it.
Compensation and Benefits
Figment is committed to transparency regarding compensation and benefits for all internal roles and those being recruited. The base salary range for this position is CAD $65,000 - $75,000 or USD $65,000 - $75,000, reflecting base salary only and excluding additional compensation or benefits. For candidates in other countries, salary ranges will be disclosed during the initial interview.
