About the Role

Fuel Labs is seeking a seasoned Head of Blockchain Security to spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive security policies across our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our blockchain technologies, protocols, and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Enforce Security Policies: Develop and implement robust security policies tailored to Fuel Labs' needs, ensuring the protection of our technologies, protocols, and products.
  • Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment: Conduct regular threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Team Leadership and Hiring: Build and lead a world-class blockchain security team, responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring security professionals.
  • Vendor Management and Compliance: Oversee the management of vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Security Budgeting and Planning: Collaborate with leadership to define and manage security budgets, projections, and costs, including auditors and bug bounties.
Requirements
  • Proven Security Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior security management role, with a deep understanding of security protocols, crisis and risk management, cryptography, decentralized networking, and key management solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, DevSecOps, and vendor management, as well as familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, SOC2, GDPR).
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and rally the team, partners, and customers around shared objectives.
