About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at OneSky Community Resources. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding Infants and Toddlers: Provide exceptional care to our youngest members, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Maintaining Daycare Equipment: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, promoting a safe and healthy environment for all children.
  • Supporting Early Childhood Educators: Collaborate with our experienced educators to develop and implement engaging programs that foster the cognitive, emotional, and social growth of our children.
  • Leading Activities: Plan and execute fun and educational activities, such as storytelling, singing, and outings, to promote learning and development.
  • Ordering Supplies and Equipment: Assist in procuring necessary materials and resources to support our programs and services.
  • Record Keeping: Support our educators in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Engaging Children in Activities: Encourage children to participate in various activities, such as crafts, snacks, and rest periods, promoting socialization and learning.
  • Guiding Children's Development: Assist children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Preparing Meals and Snacks: Prepare healthy meals and snacks for our children, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Submitting Observations: Document and submit written observations on children's progress to our educators and supervisors.
  • Knowledge of Licensing Regulations: Familiarize yourself with relevant regulations and standards to ensure compliance and quality care.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and best practices in childcare.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) Certification: Possess a valid certification in Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1).
  • First Aid and CPR Certification: Hold current certifications in First Aid and CPR.
